WOTT#8 and a Special Birthday Card

Welcome to another installment of What's on Tap Tuesday. Wow, this Tuesday really snuck up on me, what with Memorial Day on Monday and all. I've been trying to come up with a good birthday card idea for my dear son that's turning 20 at the end of the week. I defaulted to his favorite hobby: golf. He's been at it since he was a toddler and he just loves it. So I dug up all the golf patterned paper I've been collecting and picked the one that I thought would work with, what else, a tri-fold card. Then I scoured my photos for just the right ones to go with my corny sentiment. If you don't get it, the first panel says "Fore!" and I chose a photo of him as close to "four" as I could find. Then the second panel says "+ 16" and I found a photo of him around the age of 16. Finally, the third panel, which I wanted to look like a score card, says "= 20" and I just added a birthday wish below it. Corny, I know, but I think he'll like it.

So now, you get to see the desk that spawned the card (you'll see a Stampin Up stamp set that I didn't use when I decided to just use photos), and close-ups of the card panels. (And in answer to the person who asked last week how I take the desk picture, I DO stand on a folding chair... Lol....and pray it doesn't collapse on me!)

Designer Paper: Stamping Station; Number candle stamps: Who's That Birthday Girl by My Favorite Things; Real Red maker (Stampin Up); library card

I hope you choose to link in your work desk. It's fun to share our madness with each other.

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

I'm going to have to make one of these tri-fold cards. Maybe for my brother's b'day that was LAST WEEK. Sigh.
