My mom has a lot of sisters and three of them have birthdays at the end of May.... hmmm, what was going on in August that resulted in their existence? I'll have to ask my mom if August was her parents' anniversary month or something.... Lol. In any event, I'm busy making cards for these aunts because you've heard the phrase "painting oneself into a corner?" They like my homemade cards so there's no going back.... *smile*
I used My Favorite Things Pure Innocence stamps (Because You're Special and the retired Peek-a-boo) for these tri-shutter birthday cards (tutorial in the sidebar). I'm addicted to collage papers because they're so fun for the landscapes of my cards. And don't get me started on ledger paper. Love it. I paper pieced the girls' dresses out of the first patterned paper. I like how the first dress looks like it has pleats but it's just that I positioned the stamp over a large flower. I apologize that the second girl is wearing white shoes before Memorial Day, but we're close enough. The sentiment comes from Picture Perfect, Unity's Nov '10 KOTM.
I hope you have a wonderful day. Rest up because tomorrow is Unity's Friends With Flair blog hop!
See you then,
*smile*
