Unity FWF Blog Hop

Here we are again. Another week of this delicious summer gone by. I hope you've been having fun.

It's time for another Unity blog hop. Head over to their blog to see the list of participants and then make yourself a nice iced drink and start hopping. There's always a ton of inspiration!

My contribution this week is a tribute to summer. The greeting and main stamps come from the June KOTM and they inspired me to do a beach scene. A few blog entries ago, I mentioned that I had picked up a $3 bamboo beach mat because I envisioned using the bamboo to add texture to projects. Well, considering the size of the mat, I think I'm set on my bamboo supply! I did use a small piece for, ironically, the beach mat in my card. I cut up an old towel to use here also. The flip flops were hand made. I wish you could see the detail. I cut out flowers from the patterned paper to 3-D on top and added a little bling to the middle of each flower. The boom box stamp came from the November KOTM and I stamped it 3 times to make 3-D layers. The paper came from an old DCWV Photo Stack pad. Most of the coloring of the main image came from Stampin' Up! markers but I snuck in a little Copic on the waves.

I hope this card puts you in a joyful summer mood! Thanks for stopping by.
