A Layout and Sketchbook pages 13 & 14

Don't faint. I made a layout. ScrapbookingSuppliesRUs is starting to do sketch contests and this sketch worked well with photos from my recent trip. (If you feel so inclined, I'd love for you to go to the Dec Sketch page of their site and vote for my layout. The winners are based on the number of votes!) I used paper from MAMBI's Journal pad (which is the same pad that showed up often in my journal project below.) Glad to use those Bazzill chipboard alphas, too. They've been sitting around patiently. And, of course, the essential travel memorabilia (poker chip, coin, immigration form, hotel key and lotto ticket) had to make it onto the page. The parrot was already on the paper so I just cut around him so that my photo could sneak underneath him.

The next two pages of my sketchbook story are below.

Thanks for stopping by!

What a beautiful vacation layout! You are so clever to cut around the bird and slide your photo underneath! Your journal pages are making me laugh. At this point I'm not sure if your story is fiction or non-fiction. ;)
