Friends w/ Flair

Hello friends!

Welcome to yet another installment of Friends with Flair. If you've got Unity or Ippity, ink up a stamp, create a project and then link it up HERE for all to see. There are two winners every week: one for a random participant in the blog hop and one for a random commenter.

My card this week was inspired by an upcoming graduation. My son has been carpooling with a senior and it's been heaven for me (and my gas tank!) so I made him a graduation/thank you card of sorts that will have a little gift tucked inside. I used the car and sentiment from an Ippity set called Authentic Man which you can find HERE (or by locating a nearby Ippity gal.)

The frame I drew was inspired by this tutorial by Nichole Heady . Instead of using a ruler and pencil lines, though, I lined up the corner of a Stampin Up piercing template in each corner of my panel and penciled in a dot to mark the corners of the frame that I then drew in with a good black marker.

I loved how the tutorial's card turned out but mine seemed to have too much white space, so I cut out the inside of the frame, matted it with black cardstock and then placed it on matted map paper. I like it better this way.

I hope you leave a comment while you're here. Who knows, my blog may be the one from which they'll choose the random commenter. Now, click HERE to take a drive on Blog Hop Road!

P.S. I hope you return tomorrow for a Saturday blog hop I'm involved in. All the blogs, including mine, will have blog candy to give away. Woo hoo!

*smile*
