Let's Get Peachy Blog Hop!

Hi friends,

We're celebrating National Scrapbooking Day at Let's Get Peachy! To kick off our celebration of design team reveals, challenges and fun, our Peachy Kats have created some special projects and posted them on their blogs. All of us are looking forward to your visit and hope that our projects both delight and inspire you!

My project was to include a handmade banner on a layout celebrating my oldest son’s 4th birthday. I’d love to hear your comments. In fact, I’d like to offer up a secret goody box prize to a random follower who comments today. So, become a follower, make a comment and then come back on Tuesday the 10th when I announce the winner. Later in this post, you’ll find out how you can vie for the Blog Hop prize being awarded on the LGP blog.

Now, I’m going to show you how to make a cute banner for a layout.

1. Gather your supplies: scissors, bone folder, broad-point Sharpie, ruler, twine, adhesive, scrap paper and decorative paper (DP). For my layout, I used paper from the Cut‘n Paste stack by K&Co. If you plan on using rub-ons or stamps on your pennants, be sure to choose the shade of your DP accordingly.
2. Hand draw a triangle that is approx 1½” long and cut it out to use as template for the pennants that will make up your banner. Fold a 5½” x 12” panel of DP in half lengthwise and use the bone folder to make a sharp crease.
3. Set triangle template on the fold and trace around to make 8 pennants. Cut out individual triangles making sure to leave the fold intact. Stamp or apply rub-ons, if you wish.
4. Fold individual pennants around string and use adhesive to bond the two sides.
5. Add to layout.
Here's YOUR chance to win!
Please visit all 13 blogs on our Celebrate National Scrapbooking Day Blog Hop itinerary, and be sure to leave a comment on each one. After you have visited all 13 Peachy Kats, go back HERE to Let's Get Peachy and leave a 2nd post to let us know you have completed the hop. One lucky winner's name will be drawn at random to receive a fun blog hop prize. The hop runs from May 7th til May 9th, so get your comments and/or challenges in! (The Peachy Kats that have decided to do separate challenges will list winners on their blogs as well as on LGP.)

This is your Blog Hop itinerary. Please proceed first to #13 Cherrie's blog. The links will direct you along the way to each of the other stops on the blog hop. If you get lost along the way, you may refer to the links HERE.
