Hope You Can Cling To Challenge and WOYWW72

Splitcoast Stampers (SCS) is hosting a forum called Hope You Can Cling To. Its purpose is to generate cards (through challenges) to send to the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their families. HYCCT Challenge #24 was to use a girl image and the color pink. I love my Suzi Blu girl stamps so out this one came. Her dress just had to be pink and I gave her a layered petticoat to add a little frill. I find it fun to put different stamp sets together and this card uses four different Unity sets. Deets can be found on my SCS Gallery, but I have to tell you that her skirt is actually a large corner stamp! I keep coming back to my Once Upon a Time DP by DCWV when using these girl stamps because it's so fairy tale inspiring.

For my What's On Your Workspace Wednesday friends, here's my desk after making this card and my craft closet close-up is evidence that I finally organized my Unity stamps (but, whoa, the weight on those shelves is making me look bad! Lol). I have an up-to-date notebook with all the images so now I can browse through it and know where to find the stamp I want. The desk is still chaos that only I can maneuver, but that's the way I roll!

Thanks for looking and have a great day!

Cindy (aka Scrapcollectr)

It does look like your shelves are going to come crashing down on you. Love the card - and the fact that you used a background stamp for the skirt. What a great cause!

Cindy, what a busy desk. Those shelves certainly look full to burst but at least you'll be able to find what you want. Nice to see you have a little fur baby watching your crafting activities as well!! Best wishes, Kym xxx (WOYWW No 24)

Great card Cindy - lovely way to use that corner! Love your space after finishing, so lovely to see how you work - I like that I can look at 100 or so desks over a week and on each one there's usually a phone within reach!

Oh are they all Unity stamps on the shelf? Do you get the kit of the month or something? I really love their stuff but only have a couple of sets. Great card and a suitably creative desk to go right along with it!

I'm glad you said something about the shelves, because I thought I was either seeing them through a fish eye lens, or they were severely challenged as to weight overload. Glad you got your stamps sorted, though. Sorry I'm late getting here, but I'm taking it slow and sure this week (#15).
