Thanks a Latte

"Thanks a latte." That's what I wanted to put on this card but I didn't have the phrase as a stamp. (Hint, hint, stamp companies!) If you know of a company that makes this sentiment stamp, please let me know! I opted for a simple "thanks" in a gorgeous font by Stampin Up (the set is called Fabulous Phrases and has numerous other words in this font.)

The boy that gives ds#2 a ride to school every morning is a Starbucks fan so that's what drove the theme of his holiday card. I stuck a gift card inside as a thank you.

Frugal tip #51: Use a small line image stamp and some leftover scraps on your desk to paper piece a quick card.

I love using patterned paper with words on them but in this case, I used a $1 paperback dictionary to add a circle punch with the word "gift" behind my image. Another interesting note: The bakers twine I used is from The Twinery (see link on sidebar) and the color is called "Cappuccino." *smile*

Thanks for visiting and have a cozy weekend!

Darling card! I have a set with thanks a latte! It is super cute too! It's by Fiskars, its name is Latte Love Its # is 01-005511 or maybe 03-008238. I got mine at JoAnns! Here is a link to the first one that came up when I googled it:

I love this card. I love your frugality in stamping! I've been saving odd bits and pieces for years to add to my stamping. It's more fun and creative that way. That paper pieced latte cup is so cute.

Cute card and great idea to use the dictionary paper! A Muse has a small clear set called Coffee Break with several coffee-themed sentiments, including "thanks a latte." I assume you used their To Go cup--or another that looks just like it!
